Bitcoin ETFs Rebound With $137.3 Million Inflow on August…

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds returned to positive territory on August 17, recording $137.3 million in net inflows after investors withdrew nearly $250 million over the previous three trading sessions.

Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, or FBTC, overwhelmingly drove the rebound, attracting $111.9 million of fresh capital, according to finalized data from Farside Investors.

ARK 21Shares’ ARKB added $14.2 million, while Morgan Stanley’s MSBT recorded another $11.2 million. Bitwise’s BITB and the remaining funds with reported figures registered no net movement.

BlackRock’s IBIT was marked as unavailable in Farside’s August 17 dataset rather than zero, an important distinction when interpreting the daily total. The $137.3 million result nevertheless marks a sharp reversal from August 14, when Bitcoin ETFs lost $56.2 million.

Fidelity Drives Bitcoin’s Return to Inflows

The August 17 session broke a three-day run of Bitcoin ETF redemptions. The category lost $61.1 million on August 12, followed by $131.1 million on August 13 and $56.2 million on August 14. Combined withdrawals over those three sessions reached $248.4 million.

Monday’s $137.3 million inflow therefore recovered approximately 55% of that amount in a single trading day.

The change at Fidelity was particularly pronounced. FBTC had recorded $46.8 million of withdrawals on August 12, another $55.1 million on August 13 and $6.8 million on August 14. Its $111.9 million inflow on Monday effectively reversed those three sessions of redemptions.

ARKB followed a similar pattern. The fund lost $58.8 million on August 13 before recording no movement Friday and attracting $14.2 million on Monday. Farside’s cumulative data now put total U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF net inflows at approximately $52 billion since launch. BlackRock remains overwhelmingly dominant on a cumulative basis with more than $61 billion of net inflows, followed by Fidelity at approximately $10 billion.

Ether Adds $5 Million While Solana Stays Flat

Ethereum ETFs also returned to positive territory, although the scale was considerably smaller. U.S. spot Ether funds recorded $5 million in net inflows on August 17. Fidelity’s FETH accounted for $4.3 million, while Bitwise’s ETHW contributed another $700,000.

The remaining products with reported figures recorded no flows, while BlackRock’s ETHA and ETHB were still marked as unavailable in Farside’s dataset. The result followed an unusual completely flat session on August 14, when every tracked Ether ETF recorded zero flow. Cumulative net inflows into the category now stand at approximately $11.47 billion.

Solana ETFs remained even quieter. All six Solana products tracked by Farside — BSOL, VSOL, FSOL, TSOL, SOEZ and GSOL — recorded zero net flow on August 17. The category has now reported no net creations or redemptions since Bitwise’s BSOL attracted $8.8 million on August 10.

Cumulative Solana ETF flows remain approximately $1.13 billion, including initial seed capital and conversions.

The August 17 session therefore belonged overwhelmingly to Bitcoin. Across the three categories, reported net flows totaled approximately $142.3 million, with Bitcoin responsible for more than 96% of that figure.

After three consecutive sessions of withdrawals, Monday’s rebound suggests institutional Bitcoin demand has not disappeared. Whether the $137.3 million represents a one-day reversal or the beginning of another sustained inflow cycle will depend on whether Fidelity’s renewed buying is joined by broader demand across the major issuers.
