Bitcoin, Nasdaq futures decline as Trump won’t rule out more Iran strikes

Financial markets opened the week on a shaky note as Bitcoin and Nasdaq futures dipped following comments from President Donald Trump regarding the ongoing conflict with Iran. While the president suggested that the war might conclude very soon, he stopped short of ruling out further military strikes ahead of the early November midterm elections. His refusal to dismiss additional action created an immediate wave of nervousness among investors, dragging Bitcoin down roughly 1.3 percent to around 83,324 dollars and pushing tech-heavy Nasdaq futures lower by 0.7 percent.

The tension extended beyond digital assets and stocks, sending crude oil prices higher as traders braced for potential disruptions in global energy supplies. This instability comes despite a recent diplomatic overture from Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who proposed a temporary ceasefire and the reopening of the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. President Trump rejected the offer, arguing that Tehran is only seeking a deal because it is buckling under intense economic and military pressure, while reiterating his stance that Iran must never acquire a nuclear weapon.

This persistent geopolitical friction has reignited fears over inflation and pushed Treasury yields toward heights not seen since 2007. With the 10-year yield climbing to 5.20 percent, there is growing concern that rising costs could force another round of interest rate hikes from the Federal Reserve. Although Bitcoin has shown remarkable resilience throughout the third quarter—surging 42 percent in three months—analysts warn that current levels may be precarious given the surrounding volatility.

Market participants are now shifting their focus toward several critical pieces of U.S. economic data scheduled for release this week, including reports on inflation, manufacturing, and employment figures. Experts suggest that until these indicators provide clarity on the Federal Reserve’s next moves, cautious trading strategies will be essential. For those holding cryptocurrency, analysts point to a crucial support zone between 83,800 and 84,000 dollars as they wait to see if geopolitical tensions will ease or escalate further into October.
